Or if you’re by yourself, spend your me-time with a decadent high tea and enjoy a moment of self-indulgence and relaxation.

A way to a refreshing day, high tea introduces a variety of savory goodness in every plate for everyone to enjoy. High tea is also mistaken for afternoon tea. As fancy as high tea may sound, afternoon tea is actually much more stylish and sophisticated. In early traditions for high tea, workers had to wait after work to have their tea time. When they do get to that hour, they were served with more than just tea and cakes such that they needed more substance from a hard day’s work. Thus, another difference from high tea to afternoon tea is that high tea includes more substantive dishes like meat, fish and egg. Whereas in afternoon tea, we have tea sandwiches and cakes as hallmarks.
